Introduction to British Sign Language

This non-accredited course provides a basic introduction to BSL. You will learn the fingerspelling alphabet, basic numbers, and simple, everyday vocabulary. By the end of the course, you will be able to meet and greet people, participate in simple everyday conversations, provide and understand basic information, and follow simple directions.

This course is suitable for complete beginners, including anyone who would like to gain a basic knowledge of BSL and those who may be thinking about studying for a Level 1 qualification in British Sign Language.

Times: 6.30pm - 8.30pm

Fees: £103 (Reduced Fee £34)*
Entry: No previous experience of BSL required

Please note: this course will only run if there are sufficient candidates. To apply for this course you will need to be aged 19 or above on 31st August 2017.

*A reduced fee is available for those in receipt of Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA) or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) in the Work Related Activity Group (WRAG). This only applies to courses running at Exeter College.
